About Me
I recently graduated from The Ohio State University with a double major in Public Affairs Journalism and Criminology & Criminal Justice Studies, along with a minor in Nonprofit Management.
My commitment to journalistic excellence is reflected in more than 40 published articles and my experience as a reporter and copy editor for The Lantern, Ohio State’s award-winning, editorially independent student newspaper. I also served as Senior Editor and Co-President of Her Campus Ohio State, where I wrote opinion pieces, created social media content, and helped lead a student-run publication focused on the female college demographic. Additionally, in Ohio State’s Parent and Family Relations Office, I independently developed and led Department Debriefs, a monthly article series that demonstrated my ability to translate complex information into accessible, engaging content.
Through these roles, I strengthened my reporting, editing, and content creation skills while consistently producing work tailored to diverse audiences across multiple platforms.
Today, I serve as an Events & Fundraising Coordinator for CurePSP, where I support grassroots fundraising initiatives, large-scale events, and educational webinars. I act as the primary point of contact for volunteers and fundraisers and help identify new opportunities to expand support for individuals and families affected by PSP, CBD, and MSA.
My Story
Originally from Streetsboro, Ohio, I graduated from Streetsboro High School in 2022 and earned my degree from The Ohio State University in 2025. At Ohio State, I found a strong sense of belonging within the Buckeye community.
Growing up, I spent much of my time alongside my two sisters, who remain my closest friends and confidants. With the unwavering support of my parents, I was encouraged from a young age to pursue my passion for journalism and storytelling.
Books played a formative role in my childhood, introducing me to worlds and characters that felt like lifelong companions. This early love of storytelling sparked my passion for writing and ultimately guided me toward a career that aligns with both my talents and interests.
After enrolling at Ohio State, I became deeply immersed in journalism and reporting. The power of storytelling and the responsibility of seeking truth fueled my enthusiasm and set me on a path of meaningful academic and professional growth.
Working for a nonprofit after graduation had long been a personal goal. Combining professional development with service to my community is central to who I am, and CurePSP has given me the opportunity to do just that.
My Work
I held a range of academic, professional, and leadership roles at The Ohio State University that reflected my interests in journalism, public service, and community engagement.
As a student assistant in Ohio State’s Parent and Family Relations Office, I created Department Debriefs, a monthly communications series highlighting campus resources. Distributed to more than 53,000 families, the series became the fifth most-viewed page on the office’s website and received recognition from Ohio State leadership, peer institutions, and external evaluators. I oversaw, edited, and wrote the series and received the Dean’s Leadership Award for its innovative communication efforts.
I served as a reporter and copy editor for The Lantern, Ohio State’s award-winning, editorially independent campus newspaper, where I produced accurate, deadline-driven news and feature stories. I also served as Senior Editor and Co-President for Her Campus Ohio State, publishing two opinion pieces monthly while overseeing final edits and multimedia content.
My professional experience included internships with Homeland Security Investigations and Open Doors Academy, where I supported marketing and advancement initiatives, as well as serving as a teaching assistant for a Social Foundations course at Ohio State.
I participated in Ohio State’s Student Experience and Engagement Delegates Program, collaborating with university leadership to advocate for student needs and improve campus policy. I was also involved in the Sociology and Criminology Club, engaging with professionals in the field and participating in experiential learning opportunities, including visits to correctional facilities.
My commitment to service included multiple Buck-I-SERV service trips across the United States and internationally, as well as ongoing mentorship through the Pen Pals program with Columbus City Schools.
I was recognized on the Dean’s List multiple semesters, inducted into Kappa Tau Alpha, and earned certifications in Advanced Social Media Strategy and Diversity, Intercultural, and Community Engagement.
